  • By joining our tutoring program, you agree to attend all scheduled lessons, make payments on time, and keep us informed about any changes or concerns. All cancellations or rescheduling requests must follow the steps outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may update our services or policies when needed, and will always provide notice beforehand.

    Service Agreement
    Our tutoring is offered either on a term basis or through weekly payments. Students are expected to engage fully during lessons and complete assigned homework to ensure the best learning progress.

    Modifications
    We may revise these terms when necessary and will provide reasonable notice of any updates. Continuing to use our services after changes are made means you accept the revised terms.

  • Session Cancellations
    Lessons cancelled with 24 hours’ notice or more can be rescheduled or credited to your account. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable and will be counted as a used session.

    Tutor Cancellations
    If we need to cancel a session, we will give as much notice as possible and arrange a makeup lesson at no extra cost.

    Term Fee Refunds
    Term fees are generally non-refundable once the term has begun. Refunds may be granted only in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, family emergencies, or permanent relocation.

  • Information Collection
    We collect personal details such as student names, contact information, academic history, and progress records for the sole purpose of providing our tutoring services effectively.

    How We Use Your Information
    Your information may be used to:

    • Deliver tailored tutoring and support

    • Monitor academic progress

    • Communicate session details, reminders, and updates

    • Process payments and keep accurate records

    Data Protection

  • Payment Terms

    Payments are due at the beginning of each term unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. Weekly payments may incur an additional $10 per hour fee to cover administrative costs.

    • Bank transfer (because of online-classes only)

    • Other methods by prior arrangement

    Pricing for Unlisted Year Groups

    The pricing displayed on our website applies to specifically listed year groups under our Subjects section. For any year groups or subjects not explicitly listed on our website, pricing is subject to change based on the complexity of the curriculum, specialized knowledge requirements, and tutor availability. Please contact us directly for accurate pricing information for these unlisted subjects or year groups.

    Pricing Changes

    All pricing is subject to change at any time without prior notice. While we strive to inform existing clients about price changes in advance, we reserve the right to adjust our rates based on market conditions, operational costs, and service enhancements. Current term enrollments will be honored at the agreed-upon rate, but renewal terms may be subject to updated pricing.

    Late Payments

    Late payments may result in suspended sessions until the balance is cleared. A grace period of 7 days is provided before suspension takes effect.

    Tutor Screening

    All tutors undergo:

    • Working with Children Check verification

    • Reference checks and background screening

    • Training in child protection protocols

    • Regular professional development updates

    Reporting Concerns

    Any safety concerns should be reported immediately to management. All reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and handled with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity.

    Safe Environment

    We maintain appropriate supervision, clear behavioral expectations, and safe environments for all tutoring sessions online.

    By providing consent, you grant Lumin tuition the right to use, reproduce, publish, and display the provided testimonial, feedback, or success story, along with the student's first name and year level (unless otherwise specified).

    Privacy Considerations

    We respect your privacy and will never share full names, contact information, or sensitive personal details in any marketing materials without explicit consent. You may request the removal of your testimonial from our marketing materials at any time.

    Marketing Communications

    When you provide your contact information to Lumin tuition, you may receive periodic communications about our services, special offers, and educational resources. You can opt out of these communications at any time by contacting us directly or using the unsubscribe option in our emails.

    Withdrawal of Consent

    You have the right to withdraw your testimonial or marketing consent at any time by contacting us. Upon withdrawal, we will remove your testimonial from active marketing materials as soon as reasonably practicable, though it may persist in previously distributed physical materials.
